Safety Guidelines for Random Video Chat

GazeCam is built for people who want spontaneous live conversations with clear boundaries. Here is how to video chat with strangers safely — and exactly what to do when something is not right.

  • You control the exitSkip, mute, or end — always one tap away.
  • One-on-one onlyEvery match is a private two-person room.
  • Reports are readFlagged conversations are reviewed, not filed away.
  • Nothing is required of youShare what you want, and nothing more.

Who can use GazeCam

GazeCam is intended for people aged 18 and over. Creating an account or starting a random video chat means you confirm you meet that age requirement. Minors are not allowed on the platform, and accounts that appear to belong to one are removed.

Be respectful in every conversation

A live cam conversation is still a conversation with a real person. Say hello, give them space to answer, and end the chat politely if the match is not right for either of you.

  • No harassment, hate speech, threats, or discriminatory language
  • No sexual content, nudity, or sexually explicit behavior on camera
  • No recording or sharing another person's video without consent
  • No spam, advertising, or moving people onto other platforms

Use clear boundaries

You are always in control. Skip to a new match, mute your microphone, or end the call at any moment — you never owe anyone an explanation, and using the exit is not rude. It is how random video chat is meant to work.

Follow local laws

Rules about online communication differ from country to country. Using GazeCam does not exempt you from the laws that apply where you live, and you are responsible for following them.

Do not share sensitive personal information

Random video chat is meant to be spontaneous, not an identity check. Keep your home address, workplace, daily routine, bank details, and passwords out of the conversation — a real conversation never needs any of it. Treat these as red flags and leave:

  • Anyone asking for money, gift cards, or crypto — for any reason.
  • Anyone pushing you to move the conversation to another app fast.
  • Anyone asking for your address, workplace, or identity documents.
  • Anyone who seems to be underage, or says they are.

Report inappropriate behavior

Use the report control during a conversation to flag explicit conduct, harassment, scams, or anyone who appears to be underage. Reports are reviewed and can lead to a permanent ban. For anything urgent, email [email protected] with as much detail as you can.
